A Little About Me

Hi, I’m Jacqueline Nkwocha, an online professional English teacher with a deep love for connection, creativity, and growth. Many of my students know me as Tutor Rose—a name I use because it’s easier for children to recognise, remember, and pronounce, helping them feel comfortable and confident from the very first lesson.

A few years ago, my husband and I left the fast pace of London behind and embraced the calm of the French countryside, where we’re surrounded by the nature I truly adore. This slower, more intentional way of living shapes how I teach: with patience, warmth, and genuine care for each learner.

I’m genuinely excited to embark on this learning journey with you—one filled with discovery, meaningful conversations, and personal growth. As a passionate educator, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my students reach their goals and grow in confidence. And truthfully, I learn just as much from them along the way.

Living in France has given me first-hand experience of the challenges that come with learning a new language. Even when you know the right word and spelling, pronunciation can still feel tricky. Yet these moments often lead to smiles, laughter, and sometimes even a bit of creative sign language. With patience, perseverance, and a positive mindset, small hurdles quickly become stepping stones.
